 First Assignment  

My first assignment in my foundation class is that we are making a sculpture using bamboo sticks to show inward and outward movement. I thought to myself that trees have both inward and outward movement, so I decided to make my sculpture in a way that shows tree limbs.

The book he is reaching out to is his savior liberating him from the pressures and stress brought on by life. Though the burden of life is great he still hangs on with fingertips.

Freddie Valdez Bio

 
   Freddie Valdez was born on October 21, 1992, in Santa Clara, Cuba. Son to Aristides Valdes and Miriam Fernandez. Freddie is an only child.   Freddie, lived in Cuba until he was 15 years old. Freddie's favorite color is Sky blue because it's peaceful; his favorite music instrument is a guitar. Freddie now lives in Kansas City, Missouri, he moved to Kansas City with his mom because his parents split up. He played soccer for North Kansas City high school.

  The reason why he moved from Cuba so he can have more freedom. Freddie's family is in the art field. His mom is a painter and his dad is a writer and also a doctor. His passion for art started at an early age while observing his mom, whose style he always admired. Freddie is active in abstract with some figurative elements also some watercolors and likes to ink draw.

  Freddie's objective is to bring social injustices to light, which case he wants to make a change that we see gender equality, future education, depletions of resources and global warming. Freddie wishes to teach people why art is important.  Freddie is now attending Kansas City Art Institute.
