I went with cool colors for my story because it tends to have that effect of relaxed,  pleased, and beautiful way.

COLOR PALETTE 

Violet 

A color I want to talk about is, Violet. There is between 400 and 500 kinds of violet flowers, which covers dozens of countries. The most common flowers of violet are found in the U.S. there are around 60 kinds found in the country. The most common are the Blue-violet and Sweet violets. Sweet violets are known for their smell. And while they can also be found in the U.S., they're native to Europe and Asia.

Blue-violet- is a very uplifting color and the color blue is also a calming and cooling color

Did you know violets have been around since Ancient Greece? Violets have been refined for centuries, with the earliest known use of the flowers dating back to Ancient Greece in 500 B.C. The Greeks used violets for everything like in their wines, foods, and medicines, and they actually loved the flower so much that it became the symbol of Athens. In Ancient Rome, the violet dye was made from snails.

Violet is the color of the giving, using its better judgment to do good for others. Bringing together  wisdom and power with kindness and lack of pride, violet can achieve a lot for those less fortunate too. Therefore violet is magic and mystery color. 

What is Color Theory?

Color Theory is a human construct. We need ways to define what all colors mean, and how colors can be organized, alike to each other, and equal to  become new colors. The color theory attempts to interface together with the facts we have about color in a way that gives us common ground to talk over and use colors.
Color therapy can be done by outstanding an appropriate color on an area of the body. It can also be done through the eyes by looking at a particular color.

Green- The color of life
 The reason why I say it's the color of life is because it's a nature, energy, and environment color.

Yellow-is a warming and happy color. Yellow is also the color of sunshine. When I think of yellow I think of lemonade.

Orange- is the color of happiness of yellow. Also, orange is considered a lucky color. In the fall the leaves change into many different colors. If you do into a forest during the fall you usually see alot of orange.

Red- is the color of fire, blood, war, danger, strength, and power. I think that red apples are a good way to use the color red becasue red is a very engergetic and attention grabbing color. Red can be viewed from the far distance, that’s why it is used for traffic signals and alerts.

Blue- is the favorite color of world population. Also, blue is a color of boys, where as pink is the color of girls. Blue is a cool color, it’s the color of the sky and sea. It symbolizes peace the reason calming color is when people go to the ocean they like to relax and have a good time.

Violet- Violet means Luxurious, Mysterious, and Romantic. The color violet is also a favorite color by many women.

"WARM" COLORS & "COOL" COLORS

   -The color wheel has two types of colors which are"Warm" colors and "Cool" Colors.

Master the Basic Color Schemes

Complementary colors- are any two colors opposite each other on the wheel. For example, blue and orange, or red and green.

Split complementary colors- is made up of three hues like for example, blue, yellow-orange and red-orange.

Analogous colors are any three colors next to each other on the wheel. For example, orange, yellow-orange, and yellow.

Triadic colors are any three colors that are equally apart on the color wheel. 

Tetradic or double complementary colors- four colors together, in the form of two sets of complementary colors. For example, blue and orange is paired with yellow and violet.

We had to crop the images down to a 6 by 6 square. After that, we had to cut black paper.  There was two type of cut-outs. One had to be a negative view and other had to be positive view. 

After we got done with that we got into 6 groups of 3 to critique, we chose to pick  out the top 6 cut outs and make some adjustments if necessary to complete the piece. Then we had to glue them down onto an illustration board using a glue stick or rubber cement.  

Next step- For the Photography project was  to print out six pictures that can tell your story in the best way, after that we had to trace the pictures in more than one way like one had to have detail, one had to be simple, and one had to be less simple and then we had to  pick one of each and trace those once again in sharpie.  

Visual Symposium

So every Friday we have a Visual Symposium. This symposium was about filmmaking. At the beginning of the symposium we were asked "What do you expect of non-fiction? Of poetics?" Have phones become larger, more powerful and ever more like mini media centers, mobile filmmaking using tablets, phablets and phones have become a popular way to make short films? When I think of non-fictions is literally means "not fiction", so this is the one that is for real things (like documentaries).The documentaries that were shown at the symposium were  passionate. 

MORE IN-DEPTH-PHOTOGRAPHY 

Yesterday after critiquing in Foundations we were told to go back and get more in-depth with the place we choose. We had to play around with the manual mode in our cameras to get macro pictures. I feel like I approved from my last pictures I took because my old picture wasn't really telling the story just by looking at the pictures and imagining the story. We had to tell the story in the pictures without reading the captions. I didn't really do that with my old pictures so I tried to get more in-depth with these images and tell my story without you looking at my caption this time.  I took these pictures around sunrise this morning. 

New Project-Photography

This is assignment this weekend we had to take 18-20 pictures of a place around Kansas City. We also had to explain what makes this place special.  

I chose Loose Park

  Why is this place special because it's a great public place, the reason why I say that because it's where celebrations are held and friends run into each other. People are engaged in activities there; the park is comfortable and has a good image and it's a sociable place where you can meet each other and take people when they come to visit. There are always flowers for those who want to see them. Flowers make people better and happier that's something special or beautiful in some way, also the landscapes are beautiful too.
