Printing onto Fabric

Finding the right fabric

First I went with the fuzzing fabric but I couldn't really see the prints on it. Next, I went with stretching fabric. I felt like the prints worked out great but still wasn't the right fabric so I went with a cotton type fabric because the colors turned out great with it.  The colors went with was a navy blue, green, and a dark orange.

Pattern Progress

Finding the right color

First, we had to do it with black ink before we could add color. For my, I wanted to show the skating lions movement in my pattern. My first option with added color was a light orange and black but I felt like it wasn't bold enough and it didn't really stand out too great. My second option was to go with blue and orange but still didn't really stand out. My third option was to go with red, white and blue.

Screenprinting Project

Screenprinting our patterns onto fabric

We had to buy a pink rubber mat it, had to be at least 4"x4  but not larger than 6"x6" and a Speedball Linoleum cutting tool and also a 4" rubber roller, for rolling ink onto your rubber mat for this project.

Pattern

Thinking of a pattern for my personal value

We had to come up with different patterns. For my, I wanted to show the skating lions movement in each one.

Personal Value-part 2

My challenge was to make it more personal and not Universal so I sketched out me over doing my fears like me going out for basketball, skateboarding, hunting, starting a new path in life, and going out for track.

Visual Symposion

This Visual symposium was about the posters and social platforms. It was actually pretty cool because I didn't know posters bring a strong message out.  A poster must be able to universally communicate, connect and deliver its message to anyone in any country. I believe that the only thing that a poster can do is calling people into action and it is a way for an artist to channel thier frustrations towards a particular social problem
